The hottest trend for summer entertaining is Latin influenced cuisine and beverages. We scored a huge hit recently with our new Avocado Bar concept! Everyone loved our Hot Havana Nights theme complete with Cuban Sandwiches, Jerk-Style Pork Loin, Chicken Empanadas, and a chef attended Avocado station.
The avocados are halved and hollowed, then filled with delicious salads and salsas. We used small bamboo boats for each ripe avocado half and displayed them so each guest could serve themselves. We loaded the bar with tortilla chips and bowls of salads and toppings. Among the favorites were shrimp salad, mango pico de gallo, pineapple salsa, diced tomatoes, and charred corn with scallions. You can easily create this concept at home.
Serve with a rum based cocktail, like a mojito or try one of our signature Citrus Summer lemondaes for this menu! The mint and lime combo would be perfect! Enjoy!
