Kathy G. Around Town: The Sonnet House, Leeds, Alabama

Event coordinator Mary Jones and head designer Andy Hopper and the Kathy G. team recently had the pleasure of working with The Sonnet House for the Kristina Davidson/Garrett Hodges wedding for both catering and floral design.

Andy and Kristina collaborated on her floral design; she wanted a garden chic feel to include blooms that looked as if they’d been picked from the garden. Antique hydrangea, peonies, oakleaf hydrangea, Queen Anne’s Lace, ranunculus, Blizzard and Vendela roses, and Green Dandy cymbidium orchids were used in the bouquets, centerpieces, and reception flowers. Look at the magnificent wrought iron cross Andy designed that was used as the focal point for the ceremony. Stunning!

The menu included:

Roast Beef on Homemade Rolls with Horseradish

Mashed Potato Bar with Toppings

Hot Spinach and Gruyère Dip with Tortilla Chips

Stuffed Mushrooms

Crostinis with Mediterranean Toppings

Kathy G.’s Signature Seasonal Fruit and Cheese Display

This venue is not only lovely and the perfect outdoor setting; they are true professionals at executing their client’s every wish. It is easy to see why they were voted “Best Wedding Venue” by Fox6 viewers. Check out some of the beautiful wedding day images from Studio G at The Sonnet House. Congratulations and best wishes to our lovely couple, Kristina and Garrett Hodges!

I have a friend who just got married two weeks ago at the Sonnet House. I wasn’t able to attend, but I was thrilled to see pictures of the place as I have heard it is just beautiful. All of these are great pictures and the florals look fabulous, too! I have had everything on their menu, so I know the food was fantastic!!

  2. It was beautiful. They all did a great job! Very pleased and would recommend to use them! The Sonnet House was the perfect place for their wedding, but I have to give credit to my daughter for that. Good job Jared and Corey!
